We all love the Christmas to New Year festive period. A time full of family, friends, fun and of course, amazing food. Although, sometimes it can be hard for parents to find the perfect things to keep children entertained.

Our Christmas gift to you here at Silverman Black is a collection of ideas of things to do in the Carshalton area over the holiday period. Hopefully they will help you to have plenty of fun and laughter, no matter how cold and grey it is outside.

Santa’s Grotto at St Nicholas’ Centre

Not managed to see the jolly red man yet? If you are still wondering if you have the time to see Santa, then head to the St Nicholas Shopping Centre before the 24th December. Make sure your little ones give him their list!

Not only will Santa be making an appearance in his grotto (charges apply to enter the grotto) but you may also be lucky enough to spot a reindeer or two!

Christmas Eve Community Carol Service at the Riverside Centre

There is something amazingly festive about a carol service. Those carols may be years old, but they still manage to get everyone in the mood for Christmas just as well as the more modern songs. If you want to indulge yourself in some amazing carols, as well as encourage some community spirit, then this event is for you.

Held at the Riverside Centre on Christmas Eve from 3pm. There will be refreshments available between 4pm and 5:30pm.

Aladdin Croydon Panto

Don’t mind travelling a little further afield for your festive entertainment. If that is true for you, then Croydon have their very own Panto. Running up until the 31st December you can join in on the shouts of “he’s behind you” and have a good old-fashioned giggle. It really is the ideal way to spend an afternoon with your family this festive season.
